My folks always had a huge collection of LP's. Nat King Cole, Johnny Coltrane, Louis Prima, Keely Smith, Frankie Lane, Frank Sinatra, Duke Ellington, Miles Davis. The list goes on and on. We listened to lots of music in the last couple of months with Dad.
When we moved him to Redding we discovered an album of old 45's! Elvis, Ritchie Valens, Thelonious Monk, Billie Holiday, The Four Seasons, The High Seas.

DeleteGood taste in music. Can you sell these? If you don't keep them I bet a classic store would buy them. I bought album frames for some of my old ones and hung them in the office. I get a ton of comments on them.
ReplyDeleteMy son took some (Duke Ellington, Miles Davis, Tommy Dorsey, Ella Fitzgerald, etc.) and has framed and hung them up in his office at work. I'm thinking about it, with a couple of pics of Mom and Dad thrown in.

where we live i mean here in asia pakistan old people are expected to stay away from such light and amusing stuff yet my parents loved music till they left this world ,after morning prayer mom used to listen her favorite old music while doing her house chores and so did the dad!
