OK, so I get it. I don't understand the big deal of two minutes of darkness even though it won't happen again for a good long while. Bah humbug.

DeleteToni, I had your exact same attitude leading up to a total solar eclipse in Winnipeg in 1979 -- but ended up with a totally different attitude after experiencing the total eclipse! Here'a an old blog post of mine about it --

DeleteIt's not that we care, but this event is happening on our wedding anniversary, so it's nice that a lot of the country will be celebrating...just not the same event. Enjoy your trip and looking forward to reading about it.
