LIFE! Dang, it does have it's moments.

I can't believe it has been so long since my last post.

Catch up time:

Book is done: went to layout 3 times but is now awaiting diocese approval for imprimatur before publishing

Proposal at diocese went well: going to start pilot program at three parishes

Class Handout is done:

Still working on Syllabus

Daughter is moving to east coast with her two daughters and husband....3000 miles away
(thrilled for them, dreams come true but I know the minute they leave I will crawl into a dark corner and suck on my thumb for a month or two)

Taking an online catechesis certification class through Notre Dame....dang, a lot of reading but really, really good class. Love the discussions.

First day of vacation I took a bad fall and landed on both knees, titanium one and one that needs titanium.  Bruised and ugly but was a great excuse to sit along the river and read while everyone went hiking at 8000 foot elevation.

So, basically, been running (or falling) as my blog gathers dust.

I miss you all.

  1. Feel for the grandkids move. Have another friend whose kids are moving half way across
the country. So far all my chickens are in state, on the other side of the mountain divide.

    1. Only three grandkids left in town. Two south, two east...lots of places to visit if I could convince my husband to retire. Though, I do love driving and could make the journeys myself...better choice of music on the road!!!

  2. Oh dear, I hope your knees are feeling a bit better now. Ouch! And having your daughter & family move so far away will be hard. Thank goodness there's airplanes for visits every once in a while! Our modern society is so darn mobile, isn't it?

    1. We will miss them but we are so thrilled that their dreams are being realized. (sniff, sniff).

  3. Congratulations on completing your book.

My daughter moved to the beautiful Monterrey area of California 20 years ago. I was thrilled for her but it broke my heart. However, now we have a lovely place to visit.

  4. That's what I keep telling myself. "...a nice place to visit....a nice place to visit.....a nice place to visit...."

  5. Oh, I can just imagine how tough it'll be to have your daughter and family move so far away. Growing pains...for us parents! Thank goodness for modern technology and its ability to keep in touch.

  6. Facetime, Facetime, Facetime!
