Great day to celebrate the small things (though, honestly, there are some pretty big things to celebrate, too). Keeping it on the 'small things' side, though. Thanks, Lexa Cain.

Celebrating good friends who are conspiring with me to put together a proposal for an office setting re-organization. Can't share more now, but will after the proposal is presented.

Celebrating You-tube! Anything you don't know how to do but want to learn, try You-tube. I watched a bunch of 'operating sound board' videos yesterday. Got it! Push button, slide, push button!

Celebrating frozen pizza. Absolutely didn't want to cook yesterday!

Celebrating the wind yesterday. Kept me home.

Celebrating the Joannes' coupon emailed to me yesterday. Will stop by to pick up soft flannel to finish Kassie's quilt!

On the BIG side, celebrating Lyn's super progress, and the clear passage to and from hospital. Ashland's Market of Choice (dang, that was some good soup), and road cams!

Friday is Friendly Fill-in day, too. McGuffy's Reader and 15andmeowing hosting!

They come up with the fill-ins and we fill-in! Sounds like a chain gang but it's not!

1. My favorite Dr. Seuss book is ____________

2. The most interesting person I have ever met is ____________

3. Besides books by Dr. Seuss, my favorite book as a child was ______________

4. Lately, I have been working on_________________

Would it be corny to say I'm drawing a blank?  Haven't read a Dr. Seuss book in, oh, I don't know, 3 months! Let me think.

1. My favorite Dr. Seuss book is Oh The Places You'll Go, great book. "You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose."  I am kind of fond of Horton Hears A Who, too.

2. The most interesting person I have ever met is a man who's name was Mitch. He had been imprisoned in Serbia three times, twice by the Germans during WWII and once by the communists, when the Allies gave Eastern Europe to them after the war, even though the Serbs fought hard for us, protected our downed pilots and soldiers and died for us. He escaped from Yugoslavia in the early '50's. He was an inspiration, a deep thinker and a student of consciousness.

3. Besides books by Dr. Seuss, my favorite book as a child was Little Women, Black Beauty, Eight Cousins, No Children-No Pets, all Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys books. My favorite book is always the one I have in my hands at the moment!

4. Lately, I have been working on purging house, remodeling house, clearing studio, designing website for OLM, studying weather on the I-5 corridor, weekly bulletin for OLM, looking up subjects A to Z for challenge next month and conspiring with friends to re-organize office structure, in other words, "Oooooh nothing!"

It's Friday. Yes, Yes, Yes! (if I sounded a bit like Meg Ryan in When Marry Met Sally just then, it's because that's exactly how I feel!)

Mom and Dad's this afternoon, conspiracy meeting in morning (gotta coach the offense!) and then three days of nuttin' honey!  Amen!

What are your plans? Are you snowed in and going to bounce off walls? Are you like, Leeanna, with windows open and letting the air flow your house while she thinks about joining A to Z Challenge?

Whatcha gonna do?

  1. it's snowing like hell here; a nor'easter! I came home from work early; so did spouse before the roads got too bad.

    1. My favorite Dr. Seuss book is "green eggs & ham"

    2. The most interesting person I have ever met is several of my fellow bloggers; all gay men, intelligent, loving, kind, super huggable!

    3. Besides books by Dr. Seuss, my favorite book as a child was "the nancy drew series"

    4. Lately, I have been working on several knitting projects at once; shawls and sweaters only

    1. I so do like green eggs and ham, Sam I Am! All Dr. Seuss books are great.

I really wish I could knit. I have creativity-envy right now.

  2. You have a great many things to celebrate, and i hope your office intrigue works out well.

Thanks so much for visiting my meanderings!

    1. I visit meanderings quite a bit, sometimes just a lurker!

  3. 1. Horton Hatches the Egg.
    2. Dr. Donald Griffin
    3. Mother West Wind books
    4. Healthier mind

    1. You remind me of my husband. Get to the point, save the words for, uh, never!!!

I'm going to look up Dr. Donald Griffin.

  4. Oooh! The plot to re-organize the office setting sounds very interesting! :-)

You-Tube is indeed a marvelous thing, I have learned so much there, anything and everything you ever wanted to know how to do!

I agree with you, the best book is the one you are holding in your hand! It's hard to choose favorites when there are so many and each one brought something different to your life.

Mitch sounds like a very interesting/inspiring person. Has a book been written about his life?

You have been busy on a LOT of things, I wish I had half your ambition because it feels so good when you get something accomplished! Enjoy your weekend coming up!

    1. A book should be written about Mitch. We were writing a book together when he died. Already had a publisher ready. It was about conscious living. The manuscript now sits in a bin in my closet. Don't have the backbone to get back to it. Still too sad.

  5. We love YouTube! TW can throw away all her videos and records cos it's all on YouTube.

  6. Thank you for participating, great answers. Mitch does sound like an amazing man. I agree that Joanne's coupons are worth celebrating :) Have a nice weekend!

  7. A fun read! I love your enthusiasm. Mitch sounds like he's lead a very inspiring life. I can't imagine what it's like having to go through the things he did.

    1. He led an incredible life. I really can't imagine many of the hardships but there were many, many successes and incredible experiences, too. He led a fully rounded life!

  8. I love the celebratory theme!! So upbeat!
I laughed So hard at your comment.. Yeah there is a touch of ocd in me...

    1. I did miss your blog. Good luck on the new life style!

  9. Toni, I like your style. I really do. You rock, my friend!

    1. Thank you! I'm pretty fond of your's, too!
