Waiting List?

Crap! It looks like I'm not going to be able to just get in my little Chevy and move to Canada!

Google reported today that "moving to Canada" searches increased by 1000% after the results of yesterday's voting came in.

There goes that cabin in Manitoba I was dreaming off!

  2. I'm not surprised although my Scottish-born husband is. He didn't believe the American people would actually fall for Trump's ego-driven, erm, 'stuff'.
Thankfully, as he has retained his UK citizenship, we can go there.

    1. I'm with you. I'm not surprised that there is a population in the U.S. that is that messed up, I just didn't know there were so many of them!

We have been considering leaving California but now it looks like maybe we will have to go further than we had first thought!

  3. Carlos and I may head south to Mexico and open a tamale stand in San Miguel de Allende.

    1. We thought of Mexico a long time ago but we have a cousin who is a priest and moved to Mexico and he says it is way too dangerous to be there right now.

    2. Would a tamale stand work in Canada?

  4. Who's are these people who are voting for Trump? I don't know a one and no one I am acquainted with knows any either. I just have to hope for the best and pray this nightmare goes away.

    1. Come to think of it, I don't know anyone who is voting for him either. Weird!

  5. Hahahahahaha! The last time Canada took in a gazillion Yanks was in the 60s -- all the draft dodgers from the Vietnam War. In those days, Americans just showed up at the border or airports and got landed immigrant status automatically. Wouldn't happen today though. Very tough to immigrate now.

    1. Baili, The top three Republican nominees are making a mockery of the Presidency, the process and democracy. They are buffoons yet so many people are voting for the biggest buffoon of all, Donald Trump. He acts like a self-righteous adolescent with entitlement issues. If he becomes president lots of people here in the states are going to consider emigration!
